It carries all the species traits that people plant \u003cem\u003eBanksia serrata\u003c\/em\u003e for, the saw-edged leathery leaves, the fissured grey bark and the thick greenish cylindrical flower spikes, at a fraction of the height of a coastal specimen tree.
