Overview & Specifications
Price includes everything: the plant, free delivery and professional installation by our planting team. One price, whole job done.
Flowering Gum - Corymbia 'Beeliar Orange'
'Beeliar Orange' is a grafted flowering gum bred from Western Australian Corymbia ficifolia stock, carrying large trusses of vivid orange flowers on a compact tree of 4 to 6m. Grafting onto hardy rootstock is what allows this species to be grown reliably on the humid east coast, where seedling ficifolia commonly fails. The small mature size makes it one of the few gums that can be planted near a house without future concern.
Why Beeliar Orange Flowering Gum
Flower impact: Dense terminal trusses of orange flowers smother the canopy through summer and are visible from the street.
Compact scale: Matures at 4 to 6m, a fraction of the size of a forest eucalypt and safe near buildings.
Grafted reliability: Grown on selected rootstock for improved tolerance of humidity and heavier soils.
Bird habitat: The nectar-rich flowers draw honeyeaters, lorikeets and native bees in numbers.
Drought hardy: Once established it needs little supplementary water, suiting low-input and native gardens.
Ideal Applications
Front garden feature: A single specimen on lawn or in a native bed where summer flower colour is the point.
Native and habitat gardens: Planted with banksias, grevilleas and kangaroo paw as the canopy layer.
Street verge planting: Small mature height keeps it clear of overhead services on suburban verges.
Small courtyard tree: Delivers a gum canopy in gardens too tight for a full-size eucalypt.
