Overview & Specifications
Beurre Bosc Pear - Pyrus communis 'Beurre Bosc'
Beurre Bosc is the benchmark European pear, prized for its distinctive russet skin, dense aromatic flesh, and exceptional eating quality. As advanced stock, it arrives at a size that commands presence in the landscape from day one.
Why Beurre Bosc Pear
Exceptional fruit quality: Long regarded as one of the finest dessert and culinary pears, with rich, sweet flavour and refined texture.
Ornamental structure: Upright, architectural form with striking spring blossom and strong seasonal interest across all four seasons.
Deciduous advantage: Delivers canopy shade across summer months while opening to full winter light, a considered choice for climate-conscious design.
Productive and reliable: Consistent annual crops when cross-pollination conditions are met.
Advanced specimen availability: Supplied at maturity, delivering immediate visual and productive impact without years of establishment.
Ideal Applications
Formal orchard plantings: A natural anchor for structured productive landscapes on prestige rural and semi-rural properties.
Edible feature planting: Strong enough in form to serve as a specimen tree within a designed landscape while delivering a productive yield.
Espalier and wall training: Responds well to formal training against walls or fences, ideal for high-end courtyard and terrace applications.
Residential and estate landscapes: Suits properties where productive trees are selected with the same rigour as purely ornamental specimens.
